August 2012 - Lean and Green Award for ITC
ITC Holland Transport has won the Lean and Green Award. The transport company from Oss received a decisive answer about the proposed Plan van Aanpak (Plan of Action) in August, while it proved to have achieved an almost maximum score.
The Lean and Green Award is a sustainability project, initiated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment and implemented in the Netherlands by network organization Connekt. The purpose of the Lean and Green program is to find 250 companies that are willing to commit to a 20% CO² reduction over a period of five years. To this end the company has to submit a Plan van Aanpak (Plan of Action), which will be verified by TNO. If approved by TNO, the submitting company receives the Lean and Green Award from TNO as well. ITC has successfully completed this process and is now one of the proud "Leaders of Sustainable Logistics".
