September 2015 – EFTCO Food for the ITC Tank Cleaning
With great pride we announce that ITC’s Tank Cleaning has successfully accomplished the EFTCO Food assessment in the beginning of this month. The Cleaning of ITC may refer to itself as “EFTCO Food assessed” from September 11, 2015.
Since 2014, the European organization EFTCO, in cooperation with the food industry and a number of European cleaning stations has developed an addition to the existing SQAS standard. This standard decides the norm in regards to the food safety at tank cleaning stations. In the meantime, only a handful of European tank cleaning stations have undergone this assessment, and ITC is one of them. ITC is satisfied with a score of 74% correctly implemented guidelines from the EFTCO Food assessment. An official report can be viewed on the website of EFTCO using the reference number 150022.
As a condition for the completion of the EFTCO Food assessment, ITC also has accomplished the SQAS (chapter Core and Tank Cleaning) assessment with a very good result. The SQAS is a standard which is regarded as the norm in Europe for logistic providers concerning quality, safety, security, environment and socially responsible business. During this audit, ITC has shown a score of 87% correctly implemented guidelines. This is an increase of 35 compared to the assessment of 2012, a positive development for ITC. An official report can be viewed on the CEFIC SQAS Electronic Database on the following website using the reference number 83770.
